Good video. Not a good choice to weld without protective eye gear. You only get one pair of those you know !

Sorry, but flowmaster is better.

of course it is! but also it's almost 10 times more expensive. Remember, he did it just to improve sound a bit

Ive got the same motor, I actually prefer the stock exhaust

A bit raspy for my taste. Try a Borla, best made, best sound. No I don't work for them. About to install a Touring series on my 2016 Silverado 5.3. Perfect sound nice growl but not loud,no cabin drone.

For anyone actually looking to get genuine performance from their exhaust instead of just flirting with the look and sound, check out what true duals and 18 horsepower can look and sound like:

Thats obviously a great exhaust, but very pricey. My buddy did it just to improve the sound. When you have 6.2 under the hood, you actually don't care that much in getting more performance )

Should have taken that flutter valve out as well rite after the muffler, it restricts alot of airflow. i did the exact same on my 6.2 but cut that valve out, sounds good. really snappy in the morning

good advice

For anyone searching the 6.2 silverado/denali muffler delete. This is a must if your looking for a great sound using the stock exhaust. I just did a muffler & flapper valve delete. I used 3 1/2 inch 409 stainless pipe mandrel bent into a S-pipe for the offset. Sounds great and worth the cost. Do not waste your money on a catback setup.

My truck is a 2014 high country 6.2 and I went with 3.50 inch pipe due to the fact that the stock pipe entering the muffler measured 3.43 inch and the pipe just after the flapper valve measured 3.46 inch. Most folks just us 3 inch cause that's what the flapper valve measures.

You guys should have installed the smallest corsa muffler they have and not have the annoying in cab sound that goes along with the muffler delete.
Tanya Litkovska 12 days ago
actually it doesn't

Mark F Minor. it doesn't bother me. but everyone is different.
Mark F 3 months ago
Ok. I know it drowns out a bit because that is the whole purpose of removing the muffler is to get a more aggressive sound but is it night and day or is it only a minor change? (In your opinion)
Silver Ice 3 months ago
Mark F don't get it if you don't like drone. it does drone
Mark F 3 months ago
D. Bear are you saying that they should have installed a smaller muffler to replace the one the removed? If that is so would the truck still sound as good with that louder rumble and growl it has now? I like the way it sounds but nobody wants to be drowned out while talking?
