inaccurate- raw meat is what they ate, or even rotten since it was more absorbable through digestion. grass salad is laughable for nutrition.

You dont know why Native American culture isnt more popular? Could it be because its the least talked about genocide in history, beside the Armenian genocide the Turks still deny

Frybread is NOT NATIVE AMERICAN, It was designed to replace native food.

Canadians have these pastries called Beavertails (they’re really popular fair food or you can get them on the canal in the winter) and it’s basically Navaho Frybread that’s rolled out really thin with cinnamon and sugar on it. That’s the classic but you can also get one with Nutella or Reese’s pieces or even garlic and cheese. But in my opinion, the classic cinnamon and sugar is the best. Anyway, look it up; Beavertails are glorious!

Native American cuisine is actually one of my all time favorite cuisines :). It's soooooo focking good especially New Mexican food. Fyi, that fry bread looked great, but it should be slightly thicker than if I'm not mistaken. The fry bread I had from my ex-boyfriend was thicker than a hip hop video vixen lol.

Why do natives in the U.S refuse to acknowledge that Mexicans are as as native as they are ? I am Mexican but I have always been or have identified with native americans because we look so similar. The real natives not the 1/8 Cherokee living in Oklahoma. Genetics have confirmed that Mexicans have a significant native DNA as their phenotype can clearly show. Anyways Mexicans are as native as native Americans in the U.S and in the whole North America and South America. There is less genetic variation between natives in the Americas than between Europeans, Asians and Africans. Borders don't define our heritage and ancentry.
Movie Nerd 28 days ago
Sahid Marquez But Mexicans are descended from European(Spanish) and Aztec bloodlines.

1:48 “Indian taco—“ **cringes** Indians and Native Americans are NOT the same. Please don’t confuse people any more than they already are. No hate, just stating facts. Christopher Columbus was an idiot who ruined it for both sides and invented racial ambiguity.

I have eaten wild race since i was a child. 3 sisters is vegetable soup, i love fry bread it is just like tacos or pizza just different seasoning. If we eat potatos and corn and turkeys all that is native american food deer, elk, any think natural to the Americas any plants and animals we eat are all native american food. ;-)
MrSerpent89 1 month ago
They are not full blooded native americans, u can straight up see they're Caucaisoid phenotype, natives have Mongoloid phenotypes, these so called natives are mixed and LOOK I said LOOK predominantly white even with the olive skin.they are probably accepted as native cause they follow the culture but if they take a D.N.A test I am almost certain they are predominantly white

I find it funny how everyone's asking where this food is and where that food is. I realize you guys want to see your food there but. they're probably only focusing on what's easy to get/make, what's convenient, and focusing solely on specific groups of Native Americans. (I don't know if group was the right term. Correct me if I'm wrong.)

Those are just staple vendor foods, really aren’t true cultural food because 1) no dairy 2) no gluten, those are huge factors in our health. Also, honestly yes they taste good but the truth is that many don’t have food security or nutritional knowledge and adequacy in having a diet that works for us. The fact that there are so many tribes of our people across turtle islland also contributes tot he fact that no, not all ‘Native American’ people eat those. None of those are even close to my cree tribe background- it’s moose, berries, teas, and more. But you know, oh well.
