What kind of truck is this? Can you say GMC Denali just one more time?

ok. lol. Ill give you that one. apparently I need a professional spokesperson but. Im all I got. Maybe after all that YouTube money starts rolling in. Thanks for watch and commenting!

bed covers are usesless all they do is limit the amount of items you can carry in height, everytime we try to haul something with on it never really fits sense it cuts your amount of cargo room in half for no reason, you should of noted the bed liner as an option though sense it was the only one worth the money
RagingOatmeal 1 month ago
Pretty sure covers are only useless to those concerned. I love mine because it keeps things from getting wet. I don’t need to put tall items in my bed. Think before you speak
PythagorasHP 2 months ago
I got a Pace Edward retractable cover. Much better than a solid one piece cover.
Full Octane Garage 3 months ago
Thanks for commenting! the bedliner came with the truck. I think the dealer may install it on all their inventory.

Three reasons not to buy a vehicle from GM. One: vehicles with a lot of faults. Two: Very poor customer service. Three: garages do not know how to handle mishaps, and cause a lot of damage. Beware.
Vince James 4 months ago
Here are my 5; 1. Truck cap, the tonneau doesn't give me enough space. 2. Bed slide to access the entire floor area of the bed. 3. Alpine restyle audio system. Comes with the complete interface package for the GMC so there's no loss of functionality. It's a larger screen and just a much better interface than the OEM. 4. The Alpine will work with the bose speakers and amplifiers but they suck so I'd have those replaced with some higher end products. 5. Vinyl wrap. I like the color flip wraps. I do have a practical reason, to protect the factory paint. Sure I could do clear but why not have some fun and change the color to something unique.
Full Octane Garage 4 months ago
Great comments! with the Alpine, do you still have all the Apple play functionality? Ive used the sliding bed for my company trucks. really great product, especially for the 6.5 beds and getting stuff up near the cab end of it. Thanks for the comments Vince.

Floormats have terrible surface coverage.
Full Octane Garage 5 months ago
Fair comment. I considered that when deciding between these mats and the full coverage version. It is a Denali with a beautiful interior, not a farm truck and I wanted to keep that degree of comfort and finish. Now, I do walk new construction sites every day and the mats do an excellent job of protecting the carpet underneath so , although the coverage area is less. it is well thought out. Curt bought the full coverage versions for the 2018 Denali in our fleet and kinda regrets the vast amount of plastic in the floor wells. It is really what the the truck is used for and what the user's personal preferences are that determines the best choice. Thanks for watching!
Troy Dunn 6 months ago
The weathertec or husky mats aren't bad but nowhere near as good as gmc mats for this truck. The gmc mats are full coverage and fit perfect. They are my favorite accesory. The undercover folding cover is my second favorite.
Full Octane Garage 6 months ago
Thanks for watching, Troy. gotta say that I just automatically buy Weather tech mats whenever I get a new car, but I may not have given the GMC mats their due. It came with standard cloth mats which are very nice, but I did not look at all weather mats from GMC. I will check it out when we get the next one. The folding cover gets a lot of positive remarks. I think it depends on what you use it for. We stand on ours as an elevated platform for filming.
don wilson 6 months ago
bed extender is worthless, I know having to walk the extra 8 inches to reach your groceries is just exhausting. A hard bed cover.worthless if anything is taller than the sides and if it is it has to be removed by 2 people. Total PITA
Full Octane Garage 6 months ago
Same to you Don!
don wilson 6 months ago
Full Octane Garage if it works for you good. No offense intended but it probably came across that way. I had that exact same bed cover and it was an expensive mistake for me. I would much rather have a roll up or a fold-up bed cover than a hardcover. They look good but I don't like the functionality of having to have it up in the air if you want to leave it on the truck while you carry something in your bed. As far as the Bed Extender I can see some use to it but to me it's not worth the cost you can make something considerably cheaper that would serve the same purpose. just as always this is only my opinion and doesn't necessarily make me right. everyone has to make their own choices have a good day.
Full Octane Garage 6 months ago
Thanks for your input and watching. At my wifes height. without the bed extender she would have to climb into the bed to get the stuff from the back. not the perfect solution, but it works for her. The hard bed cover can be used in the up position even at hwy speeds, I had 45 bags of mulch in the truck the other day. We like that we can stand on it as a video platform and that it locks to secure the camera gear. there are certainly a lot of other options out there. post a link to your solution. we would be happy to check it out and maybe do a video on it!

Robert Fousek 7 months ago
The only issue there though that I’ve seen one this truck with that is the line with that black plastic lip on the wheel well edge. I have the same color truck, but the SLT and I went with the matte black to match the trim so that it didn’t look choppy.

Tailgate extender is a quality product as well as the mud flaps and for that matter they make seat covers on the market that are extremely quality with storage pockets on the back for people that like to hunt and fish and similar things of that nature

Tailgate seal kit! Factory tailgate leaks like a sieve, fills with snow and mud and and and and trust me mine is not the only one 2017 model unbelievable leak issue.

What a waste of money especially on that fiberglass lid.
Full Octane Garage 1 year ago
Thanks for watching tho.we are not going to agree on everything. how boring would that be? I did use this lid as a elevated filming platform at VIR with 3 people standing on top of it for a couple hours. It worked great for that! the top is VERY strong.James
Full Octane Garage 1 year ago
Willy p have not researched those, how much bed space do they take and what are the price points?
Willy p 1 year ago
I like the roll n lock
Full Octane Garage 1 year ago
Willy p what do you recommend for a hard bed cover? This in is actually a light weight plastic material and we have had 4 of them now and they ROCK. It weighs about 50lbs and is very easily removable for when we haul tall stuff. The other thing is if you have something taller we have drive it with the top open. Not for everyone but works great for us.

Have a 2018 Silverado on order, looking for bed cover, can't decide which I want. Like your videos they are high quality thanks for making them.
don wilson 6 months ago
Danny Turnpaugh.jmo but the roll up style seem to be the best. Easier to use and don't have to be removed or block the back window. There is always a downside to all styles. Rollup seem to have the least. A smooth tight appearance can be found on a rollup with a little research.
Full Octane Garage 1 year ago
Danny Turnpaugh cool. And thank you for watching!
Ben Tollefson 1 year ago
Soft tonneau is much easier to live with and is much more flexible than a hard top The weathertech's are nothing compared to Husky's X-ACT's. They cover much more area (practically carpet-delete) and the soft rubber is much, much better for northern climates
Full Octane Garage 1 year ago
Thanks for the comments! weathertech makes full coverage floor mats, I went with these as a more minimalistic approach because I like the look better while they still prevent anything from hitting the carpet. We will see on the bed cover. it can be a pain in the ass taking off and putting on but it is really tough. We actually stand in it shooting video. (Stationary. of course.) thanks for watching, Ben!

Some of those additions are exactly what I did to my Silverado Crew LT. WeatherTech makes some outstanding products. The mudflaps took all of 10 minutes to install , and the mats fit perfectly. I also added a bug deflector and window vent shades by them. I also bought an Undercover Tonneau , the Elite LX which was painted the color of my truck. Had to wait a few weeks for it , but it looks almost as good as the pretty lady at the start of this video. :)
Full Octane Garage 1 year ago
Awwweee. Ill tell her you said that. Thanks for watching!

Floor mats are garbage trying to say the ones for the truck from the dealership is worse get out of here, and u spend most of the video trying to sell us cheap useless crap

Nothing cheap or useless about upgrading the factory mats to full coverage WeatherTech. They rock.

I pull a gooseneck trailer and the backflip tonneau cover works well for this. Just fold most of the way and hook up. Still covers stuff under it and when I unhook just fold it back closed. Some people like the rolling cover also. Also 3M all over the front of my Denali before I took it home. I use the full coverage weather tech for front and rear. Best in my opinion.
Full Octane Garage 1 year ago
Sean Penny buying a trailer this week. Cool. Kudos on the 3M. We wrap our personal cars on delivery! This is a company truck that we trade every 2-3 years. so it wasnt as much as a concern.

Darryl S 1 year ago
The bed extender is completely worthless just in the way I threw mine in the dumpster. The Undercover one piece bed cover is great for water tightness but worthless when trying to haul anything substantial and a total PITA to remove (takes 2 men) I gave mine away. I like the tray for the center console (great idea) going to order one today thanks. WeatherTech floormats suc arse they are hard plastic and warp up. Get the Husky Xact Contour floor liners. Weathertexh mud flaps might be worth a look? I like the Gatorbacks though I think the waethertechs are a bit flimsy looking

I have a 6 foot bed. GMC 1500
Full Octane Garage 1 year ago
Randy Holder I'll do that. This cover is very handy for day to day use, however, the one time I had to take it off and reinstall it myself I could have filmed 2 minutes of outtakes.. It involved me on my back in the truckbed using both hands and feet. not a pretty sight.
Randy Holder 1 year ago
you should check out the Pace Edwards Jack Rabbit sliding bed cover. after using a couple different styles, I've determined the sliding method is superior. It allows you to carry taller items, it's just as weather/water resistant, operates with one hand and since it's a flush fit, looks fantastic on my new Silverado.
Full Octane Garage 1 year ago
Randy Holder heheee. thanks for watching though!

Those look like wall mart floor mats, my weather techs cover the whole floor and actually keep the carpet clean.
Full Octane Garage 1 year ago
They are Weathertech but not the full coverage ones that you have. yours definitely do a better job of containing the dirt, however, I do use this truck for entertaining customers and I thing they have a little less of a jobsite look to them. thanks for commenting!

Should have got the 6 foot box and you wouldn't need the extender, those hard covers are a PITA you can't haul anything big and need two people to remove, not to mention you can't open the tailgate without opening the top! your truck should have come with box lights in it from factory.
Randy Yancey 1 year ago
nah, UnderCover Flex and Flex Ultra put those all to shame! Tri fold Flex is all you need for 1/3, 2/3rd or full use of your bed, whether it's a 6.5' or a full 8'!

John Urbank 1 year ago
Josh, so I understand. You prefer the GMC floorliners over WeatherTech? Also, I'm planning on getting the underseat storage for the back seats. Do the new mats get in the way of the storage or do they work well together?
Josh Talbott 1 year ago
Full Octane Garage i used to run weather tech in everything I had. The quality of the GM floor liners is night and day to the weather tech and don't curl after being in the heat and cold. I paid $190 for front and back. It's worth a shot and I'm sure you would be impressed. Also look at the underseat storage, that is one that I get with all of my trucks as well.
Full Octane Garage 1 year ago
LRGCAR PACAR Thanks for watching! I guess I can be described as overly brand loyal. WeatherTech is one of those brands. GMC Denali is getting added to that list tho!

I would suggest a clear bra/ Xpel protractive film cover on the front painted bumper. It is notorious for easily chipping and paint coming off within a few hundred miles of travel. Only solution is to add protective film such as clear bra. I did and its great!
Full Octane Garage 1 year ago
Jessica R absolutely! I installed it on the front ends of the Audi S5 and the jaguar XKRS before delivery as did Curt with his newer Corvette. Love the self healing technology. Some of the best Money I ever spent. The Denali is a work truck for me and it will have 100,000 miles on it in the next two years and will be traded so it wasn't as important. Great comment! thanks for watching Jessica!
Burt Weed 1 year ago
Consider the floor liner vs a floor mat - GM now makes a great one, as well as Husky and Weathertech. They all provide full coverage (the GM version is missing a bit of coverage under the gas pedal but otherwise great).
Full Octane Garage 1 year ago
Thanks for watching!
Full Octane Garage 1 year ago
I went with the mats for the appearance aspect. If I got in the mud more, the liners would be the way to go.
